Red Ale – 5.6% ABV
A staple at Last Wave. A balanced red ale with a malty sweetness balanced by a touch of Cascades hop. Goes down easy.
West Coast IPA – 7.5% ABV
Aggressive, piney, and kissed with a citrus finish, Green Room is a classic example of a West Coast IPA. It features a solid malt backbone with plenty of bitterness up front balanced by the flavor combo of Cascade, Simcoe, and Chinook.
Shore Ale – 5.3% ABV
A Shore Ale is a beer designed to be enjoyed on a hot summer day at the beach. This summer crusher starts with a Kolsch base for a light body and finishes with a wave of fruit flavors from post-boil hop additions and a pinch of salt.

A true American pale ale that’s built with a solid malt body delivering a touch of sweetness and expressive citrus and floral notes from a big charge of Amarillo in the whirlpool.

A collaboration with Jughandle Brewing, this “not quite” lager uses Lutra Kviek yeast to produce a refreshing, punchy lager flavor reminiscent of the finest Caribbean lagers.

Surfing in NJ requires an arsenal of different wetsuits, and as the crisp autumn air sets in, a solid 3/2 fullsuit is a necessity for the pumping swells on the east coast. This black lager pays homage to the 3/2 with hints of chocolate and roasted coffee, but with a crisp finish born from the lager yeast. It’s dark and flavorful, but it’s not heavy, making it a perfect beer for the subtle changes of autumn. Try on 3/2 with your favorite friends and flannel for the optimal experience.
Chocolate Coffee Stout w/coffee from Port Roasters
This beer makes no apologies for its roasted overtones, or velvety mouthfeel—nor should it. This brew is deeper & darker than your thickest winter wetsuit, and designed to keep you just as toasty on a cold winter’s day. The robust chocolate flavors float and mingle with rich coffee notes that send your taste buds swimming.
Hazy Wheat IPA
Peer through the haze of this beer and you’ll be rewarded with a unique punch of flavor brought on by a creamy wheat body and the tropical aroma and flavors of some famous C hops. This is most certainly an IPA, but it does its thing without battering your tastebuds like a nasty north wind.
Spiced Belgian Ale
When the frost shows up and the rubber gets thickest for those winter storms, the time comes for a beer that can fill you with holiday cheer and warm you up after a frigid session in the Atlantic. Enter the Board Breaker. Our spiced Belgian ale dances on your tongue with aromatic malts, which are livened up with cardamom, cloves, and candied sugar with raisins and cinnamon thrown in post fermentation. An abbey ale yeast provides some fruity punch and at 9.1% ABV, it’s sure to bring the feeling back to your fingers. It’s time to gather round with the ones you love and toast to the fallen boards that winter brings to the Jersey Shore.
West Coast Double IPA
The Boneyard is the zone where the waves detonate without remorse. It can be a wild place, but you have to make it through if you want to get into the lineup when the waves are firing. Our West Coast double IPA pays homage to those hearty surfers willing to take a few sets on the head for their just reward. A burly India Pale Ale that slams your taste buds with piney, resinous flavors and notes of citrus capping it off. Boneyard unleashes some serious bitterness as well, which gets some balance from the sturdy malt backbone of this complex, yet classic double IPA.
The Chop Hop Smoked Porter is there to warm you up on a long winter night, or after a brisk surf session. It starts with a classic porter base of rich, roasted dark malts that offer hints of chocolate and coffee notes, which are then hit with specialty malts that provide a distinct smokiness. Sipping this beer will have yearning a night around a fire with the ones you love.
The critical section of a wave is where you make or break a ride. Unload with a big, stylish turn or stall and get barreled? It’s up to you. Luckily, this New England-style IPA makes all the right moves. Critical Section gets technical with a heavy double dry hop of Citra, Mosaic & El Dorado and is dripping with notes of tropical, candied fruit up front with a delightfully crisp finish of white peach and stone fruit set on pillowy soft, hazy body.
Sunsets are kind of a West Coast thing. We look for the Sunrise on the East Coast, signaling another day. Dawn Patrol is a light, tart beer that gets its flavor from a simple grain bill, a light souring, pureed pink guava, and like most great things from the Jersey Shore—a touch of salt. Spring comes slow at the Jersey Shore. To help you weather the chilly evenings and surf sessions ahead, we bring you Defroster. Our Winter Warmer has an inviting amber hue, but don’t let the color fool you—it packs a wallop with a malty, full-bodied flavor that gets a little sweetness from a helping of maple syrup and toasted pecans. It’s sure to warm you up after a brisk winter day at the beach.
Kveik Northeast IPA
The extra hours of daylight that come with summer at the Jersey Shore make the days seem endless. We know that just means more time to enjoy good beers with good people. This northeast IPA gets some help from a Norwegian Kveik yeast strain (another area known for long summer days). Endless Daze features a hazy body that blends perfectly with the notes of pineapple and berry that flow from big Denali and Galaxy hop additions after flameout. The Kveik yeast strain delivers an intriguing layer to this beer that makes it crushable and complex.
Don’t let the doldrums of summer get you down. This witbier is true to form as it lets the Belgian yeast take center stage with notes of banana and clove. Grains of paradise keep things spicy with a perfect balance of orange and coriander to round things out. This brew is perfect for when the ocean goes flat on a warm summer day or when you need a beverage that’s perfectly paired with a sunset.
Milkshake IPA w/ Mango
We get stoked when it comes to experimenting with emerging beer styles, and that kind of excitement is also called “Frothing” in the surf community, which is where our Milkshake series gets its name. A Heavily oated base gets a little touch of sweetness from honey malt and allows us to build creamy body as the foundation for this brew. Unique hop combinations combined with lactose, tropical fruits and vanilla unleash a wave of sensory delight that even IPA haters will find enrapturing.
Where the warmth of the rays of sunlight linger while the twilight quietly makes its presence known— the Golden Hour IPA resides. An IPA bursting with the refreshing tropical notes of peach and mango, which spring from liberal additions of Azacca and Ekuanot hops. This flavor is accentuated by its hazy, sunstreaked hue and balanced bitterness. The moment is here—time to capture the Golden Hour.
Every New Jersey surfer sets their sights on one thing when the waves start pumping—some time in the green room. This IPA comes at you fast with a wallop of bitterness that covers your tongue. Taking a high line in surfing requires, skill, balance, and timeless style to get where you want to be—in the barrel. That’s why we decided to make what we’re calling an old school IPA. It boasts a balanced attack that includes a solid malt body, hearty bitterness, and a resinous, fruity hop punch that springs forth from copious doses of Centennial and Eureka. This brew pays homage to the IPAs that started the craft beer craze. So take the high line and you’ll be rewarded with a harmonious beverage that ignores the trends in order to deliver an enjoyably hoppy experience that never goes out of style.
Look out below, A set’s coming and you’re in the Impact Zone, where waves crash down on surfers without remorse. This Imperial NEIPA goes big by unleashing torrents of tropical flavors and hints of candy on the nose. A heavily wheated and oated body and a smooth finish mean Impact Zone delivers a tropical punch to your taste buds that will have you paddling out for more.
English-style Brown Ale
As the summer fades and the familiar sights and scents of Autumn take hold, the time comes for a beer that can complement the beauty that comes with fall at the Jersey Shore. It’s also about those storm swells that lend themselves to barreling rights that require the supreme commitment of a Late Takeoff. This English-style Brown Ale welcomes those crisp afternoon sessions with open arms and a hearty grain bill. Late Takeoff offers up notes of toffee and a slight nuttiness that’s complimented by locally roasted Sumatran coffee from Port Roasters and a dash of chicory.
The ocean can feel like a lake at times during the summer, which can make surfers get a little bummed. It’s when we forget the waves and focus on friends and good times on the long, sunny days of flat ocean. Lake Atlantic is brewed to be a worthy addition to your crew at any beach hang or summer cookout. It’s light and crisp, but with fruity undertones coming from a heavy dry hop of Huell Melon, El Dorado, and Idaho 7. There’s no bitterness to be found in this bubbly Brut IPA, which makes it a flavorful yet sippable beer to cheers to the flat, fun days of summer.
The Layback Pale Ale pays homage to a classic surfing move and a classic American beer style all at once. This balanced pale ale gives you smooth notes of caramel in the malt profile up front with an aggressive kick of bitterness and flavor that’s pulled out of the Amarillo® hops used in this brew. Like the stylish turn it gets its name from, this beer is equal parts style and power.
Leroy the Masochist
NE Double IPA
This ain’t no hodad, Squidlips. We crafted a new beer to pay homage to Gary Busey’s greatest role in a surf movie… Big Wednesday. This New England-style double IPA gets a little crazy with a hazy, oat-heavy base that lays the foundation for this juice bomb. Just the slightest hint of bitterness is met by a set wave of tropical aromas and flavors, which include melon, strawberries, and hints of citrus thanks to copious amounts of 007, Amarillo, and Citra hops added post-boil. You don’t have to like pain to enjoy Leroy the Masochist—You just have to be willing to go big.

Brewed to capture the essence of summer at the Jersey Shore. It starts with the light, crisp body of a refreshing Kolsch-style ale and then kicks it up a notch (as we do here at the shore) with a hearty dose of whirlpool hop additions of Denali, El Dorado, and Azacca hops. This provides a tropical bouquet of flavors and aroma without adding any bitterness. Dubbed a “Shore Ale,” a pinch of salt puts the finishing touches on this crushably flavorful beer.
Fruited Sour Ale Series
The smoother the surface, the smoother the ride. The wind is fickle here in NJ, but you can usually count on glassy conditions early in the morning when you’re looking for a surf in the summer. Morning Glass Kettle Sour takes this route to deliver a unique flavor profile that’s both refreshing and intricate. This beer is kettle soured to create a slightly sour and puckering mouthfeel. It’s then smoothed out with additions of lactose, vanilla, passionfruit, and guava. This all adds up to an interesting sour beer that appeals to both sour fans and those looking for a more refreshing, fruity brew. Times a-wastin’, don’t miss out on the Morning Glass.
When those big storm swells travel from open water towards our beaches, it can look like the horizon is moving. With that notion of power and beauty combining to produce such a moment in mind, we crafted Moving Horizon, a Belgian-style tripel. This beer boasts a complex assortment of aromas from a Belgian yeast strain that gives off notes of bubble gum, cloves, and banana. Those defined aromas mesh perfectly with a dry, bubbly mouthfeel and finish that hides the high alcohol content. Made to be sipped after a day well spent, Moving Horizon beckons.
Hazy Pale Ale
The old saying goes, “When in doubt, paddle out.” We’re all about just going for it here at Last Wave. Our Paddle Out Pale Ale fits that mantra because when you aren’t sure what you want to drink, this dry-hopped hazy pale ale will do the trick. Clocking in at a mild 5.5% ABV, and loaded with post-boil Meridian, Calypso, and Centennial hops, this beer goes down easy with a nice aroma of melon and tropical fruit. A base of Golden Promise and honey malt rounds this beer out and makes it ready to go whenever you are. There’s no need for doubt, just have a Paddle Out.
A Quiver often refers to a surfer’s collection of boards, each one there to handle different types of waves and conditions. This IPA honors that spirit as a hazy “single malt, single hop” beer that will evolve over time. Quiver is crafted to showcase a different, unique hop each time. The 2nd batch of 2019 features Idaho Gem. This hop combines a candy like sweetness with hints of pineapple and citrus. Grab a glass and see what Quiver has in store for you this time around. State of Stoke
State of Stoke represents that fine feeling you get after a surf or a day on the beach, when you’re ready to kick back and toast to the good times. This crushable Kolsch is simple in approach with a pilsner malt base delivering a subtle cracker-like flavor that’s balanced by a fruity aroma, which comes from the combination of Kolsch yeast and Meridian & Santiam hops. Send out an S.O.S. because it’s time to enter the State of Stoke.
Fall is when we reap the rewards of a busy summer season with beautiful days, great waves, and a little time to relax. It’s a time to recharge our batteries and harvest some stoke for the long months ahead. Our Oktoberfest adheres to the traditional Marzen style with a simple grain bill and hop schedule, which produces a radiant copper hue and flavors of toasted bread crust. A month of lagering gives this brew the time it needs to round out into a complex, yet crisp beer worthy of a good fire, a good flannel, and good company. Here’s to the Stoke Harvest.

When you’re cruising on your longboard and set your line, it’s all about the glide, which is also known as “Trimming.” Our dry-hopped pilsner takes this classic style to heart with a simple pilsner base that gets its flavor from a slow, lagering process that brings out crisp notes of grainy goodness and a pale yellow body.
